If only guys people would appreciate smart girls >.< Although I’m not considerably smart, I understand how it feels to be alienated just because of the label “smart”. Although smart girls know their worth they don’t feel confident of their worth. Society has taught us that smart people are most often nerds; people who don’t have a life and are intimidating to talk to. Are smart people really that boring intimidating?  So today I was on AIM, having a group chat. My friend and his group of friends were talking about girls.  It turns out my friend had a crush on a smart girl. His friend’s reaction : ” She’s smart, innocent , nice and all but……… she’s not exactly pretty, fashionable and sociable. She’s seems reserved, we don’t think she’s your type” (well this is sorta the gist of what they were trying to say…) Are people now days that superficial. Is looks all that matter? And “she seems reserved”, how could they say that when they don’t know her? Of course she seems reserved, they never tried getting to know her. Personally, I think that society needs to give smart girls, actually smart people in general a chance. Get to know a smart person and let them amaze you. Sometimes I wish that my friends would stop bringing up the fact that I’m “smart”. I just want people to get to know before they start to label me. So somehow this turned into a mini rant XD
